Brazil-Russia Cooperation in Literature: Daniel Kondo in Moscow

*Cooperation between Brazil and Russia also encompasses literature, creativity, and the circulation of knowledge.*

With institutional support from the Brazil–Russia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, Brazilian artist, author, illustrator, and designer Daniel Kondo is participating in the III Moscow International Publisher's Week, held in Moscow and aimed at fostering connections between professionals in the Russian and international publishing markets.

Throughout the event, representatives from publishing houses and professionals from various countries will engage in business rounds, copyright negotiations, discussions on industry trends, and meetings aimed at building new international partnerships. The agenda also includes cultural and institutional activities focused on the exchange of experiences and the circulation of works and authors.

During his mission, Daniel will present works such as Lobo Mau com Dor de Dente, Eletricista, Desembarcados, and Andar com Fé to the Russian market in meetings with publishers, literary agents, and specialists in the acquisition of translation and publication rights. For this outreach, a catalog in Russian has been prepared, featuring editorial information, synopses, and presentation materials for the works.

Among the highlights is Eletricista, whose visual language resonates with constructivism and Russian avant-garde, creating a direct connection between contemporary Brazilian production and significant references from Russia's artistic history.

“Daniel Kondo's presence in Moscow demonstrates the potential of culture and the creative economy to generate new connections, partnerships, and opportunities between Brazil and Russia,” states Gilberto Ramos, president of the Brazil–Russia Chamber.

Daniel Kondo's participation is part of a broader effort to strengthen cooperation between Brazil and Russia in the field of the creative economy. By supporting initiatives like this, the Brazil–Russia Chamber reaffirms its commitment to bringing together professionals, companies, publishers, and institutions from both countries, expanding opportunities for cultural exchange, new business, and long-term partnerships in the publishing market.

The Brazil–Russia Chamber wishes the author great success in this important mission and will continue to work to enhance connections between the Brazilian and Russian creative ecosystems.
